illustration friday - "phobia"

inferno

pyrophobia: fear of fire

this is also from my art in elementary education class. julia has been teasing me because i've been doing much of my homework with crayons lately. this particular image was made by placing crayon shavings in between two pieces of wax paper, then putting a newspaper over it and heating it with a warm iron. note: you cannot do this project if you have thermophobia--fear of heat.

This illustration is so beautiful it is hard to be afraid.

I like this. It makes me feel as if I'm under water looking up. There's a feeling of hope and fear in the mix.

I think the texture and colours you've created with that technique look really great. A lot like smoke, or pollution from a factory. Looks a bit toxic. Love it! I bet it was fun to do.

Really nice, Ron. Your other work is really nifty, but this one is my favorite. (I hope you aren't pissed I put the Robot Prom picture up on my blog. I'm reworking the game plan for the Correspondence School in the hopes that maybe after graduation we can start it up again.)
